Detailed electrical and other mechanical specifications are described in individual data sheets. Please contact our application engineers for a copy of the C-series (for Si/PbS) or the D - series (for Si/PbSe) data sheet.

Ideally suited for systems operating in both the visible and IR, Cal Sensors two-color coaxial detector assemblies consist of a silicon (Si) photodiode mounted on a PbS or a PbSe detector.  Si/PbS or Si/PbSe detector assemblies can be operated uncooled or thermoelectrically (TE) cooled and are packaged in a variety of TO-packages.  Standard Si diodes are 2.9 and 5.0 mm in diameter. Virtually any element size PbS or PbSe detector which is smaller, can be installed under the diode. Silicon diodes are coated to maximize IR energy throughput to the PbS or PbSe detector.  Silicon diodes operate in the visible spectrum up to approximately 1 µm, hence the wavelength range covered by Si/PbS is 0.4 to 3.0 µm, and for Si/PbSe, it is 0.4 to 6.0 µm.
