New Look, Continued Innovation and Service
Dear Friend,
2008 was a very exciting and eventful year at Cal Sensors. In the first year since acquisition by ITW, our company has made some exciting changes while maintaining the industry-leading innovation and technical service that customers have come to expect during Cal Sensor's 20 years as a provider of IR detectors and emitters.
Conscious business strategies and the diverse range of markets and applications that we serve have allowed Cal Sensors to make positive changes and grow our business segment even in a tumultuous economy. We are proud to be able provide you with an overview of some of the exciting developments we have planned for 2009 to continue our tradition of excellent service to the market.
New Website and Logo
One of the most visible changes we have to report is our newly updated Cal Sensors website. In Q4 2008 and Q1 2009, we will be working to refresh and streamline our website to make it easier for you to quickly find information on Cal Sensors products and services. Among the new features will be a resource library where visitors can find information on new products, customer testimonials and insightful white papers. The website will also contain new information on the wide variety of industries Cal Sensors serves including medical and environmental gas analysis, industrial process control, thermal imaging and IR spectroscopy. Our web address will remain unchanged (www.calsensors.com) and we look forward to hearing your thoughts!
While you are on the site, you may notice that our logo has also received an upgrade. The crisp, clean new logo design in gray and red was designed to reflect our forward-looking brand identity. At Cal Sensors, we are investing in the IR detector solutions of the future and we felt it was important to have an updated, modern logo to reflect this commitment.
New Faces
In 2008 and for the first time, Cal Sensors hired an Operations Manager. Harry Ahlas, joined the company early in 2008 hitting the ground running with fresh ideas to improve efficiency and productivity. He is a welcome addition to Cal Sensors’ existing staff. Harry’s extensive background in manufacturing and sales will be a terrific resource as we grow and release new products and implement our new computer system in 2009.
Continued Innovation and Service
The autonomous management system under which ITW organizes its acquired companies has allowed Cal Sensors to continue to provide our clients cost-effective quality technologies with quick deliveries and industry-leading technical support. Furthermore, as part of ITW’s network of 852 decentralized business units, Cal Sensors has been able to invest in new and emerging technologies. As a result, in 2008 Cal Sensors launched two new innovative technologies including LIRA5S square pixel array and the MIRA4 four color detector assembly.
